about
"Enemy_" is The Absurd's siren song. A wailing cry for help from a band of sissies lookin' for a fight. The Absurd is reclaiming the word sissy.
Also The Absurd means business. If you fight us we will fuck you up. We are macho and awesome. Seriously bro, step off a-fore ya get a poke in the eye courtesy of yours truly.
In an age of cancel culture, bigotry, disease, peaceful riots, violent protests, hilariously corrupt politicians, and Diet Sprite shortages, one band stands alone, boldly, between society and the abyss. Stare into the darkness with them. Peer over the brink and ask yourself: Do you really want to be my enemy?
Look folks, 2020 has been a zany year. Let's be friends.

lyrics
every day you wanna talk to me
every day you wanna talk to me
i only got so much energy
i only got so much energy
every day you wanna put me down
every day you wanna put me down
stamp my face straight into the ground
every day you wanna put me down
do you wanna be my enemy?
do you wanna see my body bleed?
search with your eyes closed
not understanding all you see
and you're bound to be my enemy.
every day you wanna throw a fit
every day you wanna throw a fit
i'm gettin' fucking sick and tired of it
every day you wanna throw a fit
every day you wanna scream and shout
every day you wanna scream and shout
yell at the sky and curse the clouds
every day you wanna scream and shout
it's killing me.
<chorus>
do you wanna be my enemy?
do you wanna be my enemy?
i only got so much energy
i only got so much energy
its killing me.
<chorus>
do you wanna be my enemy?

The Absurd began as a folk rock collaboration between Ben & Josh. Ben's singer-songwriter artistic whims are expressed thusly herein.
Check out Ben's newest track, "The Thin Ice" The Absurd
very impressive for a bands first studio record. great ideas allover the record.
I wish that band all good for the future.
Yours sincerely,

What I like about Draken too is that the music is fierce but not too macho, aggressive but not dumb. The most important feature is masterfull riffage though, and writing songs that stick in your brain and make you yearn for the time you can bang your head along in front of the stage. I seriously can’t wait to see this live. Weirdo Shrine
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
