lyrics
gather around now, children, let's all hold hands
everyone's already dancin', come join the band
four-four, feet on the floor, now, dance to the beat
eyes closed, throw your hips back, now, in ecstacy
they're comin' for ya
in your homes, in the streets
mad and fanatical
armed to the teeth
sweat drippin' down to the floor, now, drenchin' the meat
steam risin' up to the sky in the swelterin' heat
spoiled, rotten, sittin' in the sun too long
had the moment by the neck, now the moment's gone
everybody's dancin' to their favorite song
everybody but me
make them believe it, now
redefine what's free
mad and fanatical
armed to the teeth
hear the sound of the war planes on the way?
such a shame, what an easy mess we make
they're comin' for ya
in your homes, in the streets
mad and fanatical
armed to the teeth
make them believe it, now
redefine what's free
mad and fanatical
armed to the teeth
The Absurd began as a folk rock collaboration between Ben & Josh. Ben's singer-songwriter artistic whims are expressed thusly herein.

Riff-Heavy Stoner Rock swagger, courtesy of our own Ben Foerg on the skins. Recorded live in concert, this was actually Ben's first gig w/ Karma Vulture, who have an upcoming EP, presently in mixing. The Absurd
Our own Ben Foerg worked on this record's production with Roberto Del Raspado, one of the finest songwriters around these days. Hooks, chill yet challenging vibes, and good lyrics abound. The Absurd

To me this is like 70ies Heavy Metal in nearly all aspects. I can understand the comparisons to Motörhead but to me they don’t really sound like them, except maybe for the Heavy Blue style lead breaks. What they do have is the drive, gravelly vocals and swagger of Motörhead. This they have that in buckets. Super fun Heavy Metal/Hard Rock that just doesn’t age. Harry Harrison
